Can anyone walk-in and buy metal from you? Are you open to the public?
Yes, we are open to the general public and will sell metal to anyone. Walk-ins are welcome. Our business hours are 8-5, M-F, and we are open from 8-12 on Saturdays. We are located in Carroll, Iowa.
What types of customers buy metal from you?
Contractors, Tool & Die shops, commercial businesses, agricultural businesses, grain and livestock producers, homeowners, do-it-yourself enthusiasts, hobbyists, and even sculptors--just to name a few of the customers who have purchased metal products from us.
I am only looking for a small piece—do I have to buy a full length?
No, you do not. You only have to purchase what you need. We will cut the metal to whatever size you desire.
Can I get a discount if I purchase a full length?
Yes, we offer discounts for volume purchases, including the purchase of a full length piece of metal.
If I need several pieces, all cut to the same length, can you do that?
Absolutely! Just provide the specifications you need, and we will take care of cutting each piece for you.
I want to buy some sheet metal, but I want it sheared to size and formed. Can you also do that?
Absolutely! We have full fabrication capabilities within our shop, so cutting, shearing, bending, or rolling is not a problem at all. And of course, we can weld your pieces together for you if needed.
Are there additional charges for fabrication services?
Yes, standard hourly charges apply for fabrication services.
Why isn't there a price list for your metal available on your website?
Since metal is a commodity, the prices can change frequently. It is best to request a quote. Quotes are good for 30 days.
How do you sell your metals, buy the pound or foot?
We sell all shapes by the foot, sheets by the square foot, and DOM tubing and Bushing stock by the inch. We do not sell any metals by the pound.
Do you deliver?
This depends on the size of your order, and whether it is in-town delivery or not. Depending on your situation, delivery fees may also apply, so it is best to call us and discuss your delivery needs further.
I live out of town. Can you ship my order to me?
Depending on the length and weight of the metal you purchased, most materials can be packaged and shipped by UPS.
Can I call my order in ahead of time?
Absolutely. We encourage you to call ahead with your order, so it is ready when you arrive, saving you valuable wait time.
Do you sell DOM tubing, Bushing stock, and threaded rod?
Yes, we do. We sell several different wall sizes of both DOM tubing and Bushing stock. We also sell Grade 2 and Grade 8 threaded rod.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept most credit and debit cards.
Can I return cut materials?
No. Please make sure your order is correct prior to placing it, because we do not take back any cut material or special orders.
